happy birthday, meow!

At our house, October 1st is "kitty birthday." Before we had kids, it was a much bigger deal, but we still try to remember to celebrate. We got our first cat, Zoe, the dilute calico, as a small kitten and later got Lucy, who was believed to be the same age. So, we picked a day to designate as "kitty birthday" and today is it! Hard to believe they are 9 years old! We got them a new toy and a new scratching pad with cat nip, which they love! Happy birthday kitties!
