aka Sarah's room.
Sarah's new room is one of the few that is close to being "done" at our new house. Here is the "before shot" taken by our realtor. Basically, the entire inside of our house looks just like this.
And here is her room in the old house. It was mostly blue and white and started out as our guest room, not changing much after she moved in.
Sarah requested pink & red, so I have worked for months for ways to make it work. The color on her walls is "Pink Destiny" and we've painted her dresser deep red (I'll be doing some dry-brushing of hot pink to bring out the details.)
And you might remember me blogging about her duvet cover. It's almost done! I just need to make a way to close it up after you stuff the comforter in. Minor detail...
At the end of her bed is a little spot for her to keep a few books.
The closet is down there too. We still need to paint doors. I'm hoping that daddy will take them outside for me so I can do them all at once. The wood tone is the color of all our trim in its current state. bleh.
Probably our favorite part of the room is the "vanity" spot. It was actually an idea Sarah came up with (maybe I planted the seed at some point??) and it turned out so cute! We got an inexpensive shelf and added scrapbooking stickers to it that coordinate with her room. She has one of the chairs that we refurbished a few blogs back, and my old mirror updated with a red polka dot ribbon.
We still need to hang stuff on the walls and unpack a few more boxes, but it's definitely the pink palace she dreamed of!

So cute! She looks pretty pleased with it! Amber's old bedroom (which was originally ours) at our old house was about that same shade of pink. We moved into it that way and it was the only room I didn't repaint before leaving it.
OMG... so pinkalicious! Love it... tell Sarah Em and I will move right in there. :)
so fantastic!! pinky perfect!! you totally rock!
Awesome job, Jen and "Little Jen"! And I recognize the little puppet hanging from the dresser drawer. **smile** As a life-long reader in bed, I loved the book pocket!
From Dallas...it's a keeper! Great job.
What a fabulous makeover. I adore that bed and the mirror is pretty special too.
What a lucky girl you have.
Love the pink! I painted my girls' room pink and they love it almost as much as I do. The duvet cover makes the room though!
