On Mother's day, I became a fish mom.

Meet Sushi!

He's a crowntail beta and our newest member of the family. Scott said I could get whatever I wanted for Mother's day (with a rose bush in mind), but since we happened to be at the pet store, I picked this! Really, I was more interested in the super cute tank, but the fish is cool too!

The kids love him and check on him throughout the day. The cats are utterly uninterested, which works out great. I'm not sure the twins are convinced that Sushi really needs to stay in his tank all the time, so they may be his biggest problem!

Haha! I have the SAME tank, and the same type of of beta (crowntail). Mine is a darker blue and red though. He's almost a year old! Though I'm horrible at remembering to feed him....
