Apples, apples, apples, apples...

It's apple season, which means I'm drowning in them! I've processed about 70 lbs of apples so far, but we still have tons of them on the tree. I've done 3 batches of blueberry-apple jelly, apple butter, apple sauce and apple juice. I think I'll do some more applesauce and juice and try freezing it. Keeps me busy!

your photos are beautiful! I can't wait to be able to invest in a really good camera.

I found you on 'Portlandia's' site (she and my husband were in med. school together).

Could I get your apple butter recipe if it's not secret? My dad has always loved it, but nobody can make it like his mom, so we're always searching.

I don't really have a recipe! lol I just cook it until it's the right consistency and add some cinnamon and spices to taste. I basically put the apples in a pot and cover with water or cider and cook until mush thick and mushy while mashing or pureeing.
